Russian Prime Minister Awards the Stolypin Medal, First Degree, to Vladimir Yakunin

A ceremony was held on Friday, December 25, at the Government Reception House to present government awards. The awards were presented by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

The Stolypin Medal, First Degree, was awarded to Vladimir Yakunin, Founding President of the World Public Forum “Dialogue of Civilizations”. The order to grant the award was signed by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on August 24, 2015. The order states that Vladimir Yakunin has been awarded the medal for services in achieving strategic objectives supporting the social and economic development of the country, as well as for many years of conscientious work.

Vladimir Yakunin highlighted: I have always followed the principle that the role of investments and the development of rail transportation cannot be overestimated in achieving strategic objectives supporting the social and economic development of the state, especially against a background of a systemic crisis of the monetarist globalization model.

The Stolypin Medal, First Degree, was also awarded to E. A. Murov, the Director of the Federal Protective Service of the Russian Federation.

The Stolypin Medal is an award granted by the Government of the Russian Federation. It was established by a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated May 26, 2008.
