<p>Prof. Curcic was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (formerly Yugoslavia) in 1940. He was educated at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and gained a Ph.D. in 1975 at Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, New York, N.Y.</p>
<p>Since 1963 Prof. Curcic teached in University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and Princeton University, where he was professor (since 1985), Director of Graduate Studies (1985-1988), chairman of Department of Art &amp; Archaeology (1988-1990) and Director of Program in Hellenic Studies (2006-2010).</p>
<p>In 2004 Prof. Curcic was elected Honorary Member of the Christian Archaeological Society, Athens.</p>
