Head of the Department of Public Sciences and Languages, State Engineering University of Armenia

Biography:

Edik Kyureghyan is a team leader and a senior scientific worker within the scope of the Cipher Contract 673 carried out at State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA) and the head of the Department of Public Sciences and Languages.

Since 2002 he also serves as head of the editorial staff of “Polytechnic” magazine.

His former position is head of the Department of Social-Political Disciplines and General Economics of SEUA (2001 – 2006). From 1997 to 2001 he served in Principal of the Information-Analytical Centre of State Engineering University of Armenia. From 1988 to 1991 he worked in Undercaucasian liable (centre Yerevan) of the USSR High Education Ministry programme “Social Opinion”) in Yerevan.

Currently he is assistant professor in the chair of philosophy and sociology of State Engineering University of Armenia and head of the chair of  philosophy and sociology of SEUA.

Edik Kyureghyan is a participant of many international projects. Particularly he was a coordinator of the project “Patterns of Migration in the New European Borderlands” within the framework of program INTAS in Armenia on public base in 2005 – 2007. From 2004 – 2005 he was a coordinator of the project “Social and Political tendencies for the Countries CIS: Key indicators and social measurements of transition” within the framework of program INTAS in Armenia.
