Gagik Harutinyan graduated from Yerevan State University, Yerevan State University in 1969.
From 1971 to 1980 he was a researcher and postgraduate student at the Institute of Chemical Physics, Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Moscow. After that he became a senior researcher in chemical physics (physics of burning and explosions) and head of the laboratory at the Institute of Chemical Physics of National Academy of Sciences in Yerevan.
Then his position was the director of the Armenian-Dutch “Sunergy” company. From 1999 to 2003 he served as chief analytic at Globe News Agency and political observer at “Golos Armenii” daily newspaper.
From 2003 till now he serves as director of “Noravank” Foundation and editor-in-chief of “21st century” and “Globus: National Security” Journals.
Gagik Harutinyan is the author of books, more than 200 scientific articles and about 300 publications on political analytics, national and information security.
