Biography:

Marina Lebedeva is  the head of the Scientific Committee on education in political science area (Ministry of Education of Russia).

Marina Lebedeva graduated from the Moscow State University, Faculty of Psychology (MSU, psychology) in 1977. She got Ph.D. (psychology) at Moscow State University Moscow State University (MSU) in 1981.

In 1993 she became doctor of political science, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).

Her former position is a researcher, senior researcher, and leading researcher, the Center for International Studies of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University) and professor of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University).

From 1997 to 2000 she served as professor of Moscow State University (MSU) and professor of the State University - Higher School of Economics (2008-2011).
The areas of her scientific interests include such subjects as world politics, conflict management, international negotiations, education in the field of international relations and world politics, Bologna process.

Currently her position is professor, the head of the Department of World Politics, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University).
She is a member of various associations as Russian International Studies Association (RISA), Russian Association of Political Sciences (RAPN), Academy of Political Sciences.
