Biography:

In 1968 Asher Maoz graduated from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Professor Asher Maoz teaches constitutional law, family law, state and religion at Tel-Aviv University. Also Prof. Maoz is editor-in-chief of “Law, Society and Culture”. He is a fellow of the Whitney R. Harris Institute  for global legal studies at Washington University St. Louis and co-chair of the Joint Working Group on Freedom of Religion, Multiculturalism and the Rights of Minorities of the Canada-Israel Legal Cooperation Programme.

Prof. Maoz was the head of Taubenschlag Institute and board member of the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council of the U. N. Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.

Prof. Maoz is a co-author of “The Law of Succession”, author of dozens of articles and holder of various awards and grants. Prof. Maoz is a member of the International Academic Council of The International Academy for Jewish Leadership and former member of board of directors in the “Defense for Children International” (Israel).
