Maha El Khalil Chalabi obtained doctorate from “Ecole pratique des hautes ?tudes”, Sorbonne, Paris.
Maha Chalabi is a prominent Lebanese woman in the humanitarian sector of Lebanon.
She completed secondary school at the Franciscan School of Beirut in the social sciences section. Then she moved on the Faculty of Medicine of Beirut and earned a Philosophy degree at BUC College in Beirut. She also had the opportunity to study Political science at the Faculty of Law at Saint Joseph University.
Currently she is the founder and active member in many benevolent committees such as the Maternity and Childhood Committee. Maha Chalabi was also dedicated in developing Palestinian camps and a strong element of the Jabal Amel Women`s Association. She is the founder and president of the Tyre International Festival and was elected member of the Executive Committee of the Lebanese Red Cross. Lastly, she is the founder and secretary general of the International Association to Save-Tyre-IAST as well as the Golf Club of Beirut and a supportive member of Lions Club International and the “Cercle de I`Union Interaliee” in Paris.
Maha Chalabi was awarded several awards: “Knight, French National Order” (1986), “Officer, French Order Arts and Letters” (1986), “Officer, Lebanese National Order of Cedar” (1988).
