Olga Savinova is a Professor and Doctor of political science.
She is a Member of the «Russian Journalists' Union», honorary member of the “St. Andrew Foundation” and the «Center of National Glory». Also he is state counselor of the second grade of Russian Federation.
From 2003 to 2009 she served as a chief counselor of the Plenipotentiary Office Representative of President of Russian Federation in Volga Federal District.
Her research interests include exploring the role of media in transforming social and political system, the interaction between journalism and intellectual life of society, ethnic and cultural issues of contemporary media discourse and the formation of tolerance.
In 2006, at an international conference in Nizhny Novgorod "Dialogue of Cultures and Inter-Religious Cooperation", she held Russia's chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and simultaneously was co-head of the section "The Role of Media and Public Communications in the intercultural dialogue."
She is author of more than 150 scientific publications and is awarded diplomas of the Russian Orthodox Church.
