Johanna Seibt obtained her education at University of Konstanz, Germany (Dr. phil. habil.), University of Pittsburgh, USA (Ph.D.), University of Pittsburgh, USA (MA), University of Munich, Germany (MA, Philosophy, Linguistics, Logic and Philosophy of Science).
She is author of various publications on many items, which include such subjects as: ontology and metaphysics, systematic issues in analytical ontology, identity of objects and persons, nominalism, mereology, formal process ontology, methodology of ontology, ontological category theory, axiomatic reconstruction of substance ontology, metaphysical neutrality, history of ontology, expositions and transpositions of substance metaphysics, history of philosophy, programs of metaphilosophical revision (Hegel, Whitehead, Carnap, Heidegger), the philosophy of Leibniz, contemporary American philosophy and the philosophy of Wilfrid Sellars.
Her new research interests include: applications of ontology in computer science, implications of linguistic typology for ontological category theory, ethical orientation, conflict and philosophy of technology.
