Director of Municipal Enterprise “Agency for Odessa Development Programmes”
Mikhail Freidlin, the director of Municipal Enterprise “Agency for Odessa Development Programmes” was appointed to the position of the advisor for strategic planning matters (pro bono),
with the aim of appropriate elaboration of strategic plan of city sustainable development.
Mikhail Freidlin holds PhD (economics), obtained in Central Institute for Economics and Mathematics, Academy of Sciences USSR in 1985.
From 1985 to 1993 he was research fellow, laboratory chief of Institute for National Economic Forecasting, Academy of Sciences USSR. He participated in elaboration of “Complex forecasts of USSR scientific and technical progress”, scientific and practical recommendations for USSR leaders.
From 1988 to 1989 he was a member of special commission, created by USSR government for cooperation with foreign experts on issues connected with justification of technical aid, investments and loans for soviet republics, being the head of experts group for the research of Central Asia Republics.
In 1989-1991 he served as a head of Soviet-American research working group on USSR Food Supply issues, created by USSR Presidential Council.
His former position is initiator and first vice-president (part-time) of Russian Federal Contract Corporation of Baby and Special Food Producers, founded by Russian Federation Council of Ministers’ resolution (1992-1993).
He also worked in Federal Contract Corporation “Roskhleboprodukt” (former Ministry for Bread Products of Russia) (Moscow). From 2001 to 2006 he was initiator and active participant of Russian-Ukrainian business forums in Moscow and Odessa, regional leaders meetings of Russia and Ukraine (Odessa and Kiev) and also took part in preparation of various analytic information for Russian President Administration.
Since 2006 he is a member of Odessa City Investment Council, Director of Municipal Enterprise “Agency for Odessa Development Programmes”.
