Sergey Glaziev, Adviser of the President of Russian Federation, Russia

 

Sergey Glazyev graduated from Moscow State University and received his Doctorate degree in Economics in Central Institute of Mathematics and Economics, Russian Academy of Sciences.

In 1991 – 1992 he was First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for foreign economic relations, of Russian Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations. Later, he became First Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade of Russia and Chairman of Economic Policy Сommittee of Russian Federation State Duma. Then Mr. Glazyev was Head of Information and Analysis Department of Federal Council of the Russian Federation (1997 – 1999), Deputy of the Russian Federation State Duma (1999 – 2007), Deputy of the General Secretary of EURASEC (2008 – 2012) and Executive Secretary of the Commission of the Customs Union (2008 – 2012).

Prof. Glazyev is Director of the Institute of New Economy of State University of Management and member (academician) of Russian Academy of Sciences. Besides that, currently he holds the position of Counsellor at the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation.
