Mr. Xing Guangcheng is Director of Research Center for Chinese Borderland History and Geography (CASS), Director of Research Center for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (CASS), Professor of Graduate School (CASS) and Winner of Pushkin Prize He was Visiting Scholar of Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Russian Academy of Sciences (1993-1994), Guest Professor of Institute of Slavic Studies of Hokkaido University (2001-2002), Director of Institute of Russia, East Europe and Central Asia (CASS, 2004-2009), Associate Director and Director of Research Center for Chinese Borderland History and Geography (CASS, 2009-2013).

He has published «Seventy Years of High-Level Decision-Making in Russia: From Lenin to Gorbachev» and «The Relationship between China and Newly-Independent Central Asian Countries».
