Cemal Usak graduated from Istanbul Higher Institute of Islam in 1977. After graduation, he started working for the press. He worked in different positions: art correspondent, editor, article writer, manager in Turkey's prominent conservative newspapers and magazines etc. He also worked as an advisor for the General Directorate at the TRT (Turkish Radio & Television) between 1979 and 1980.
Currently working as the Vice-President of the Journalists and Writers Foundation (Turkey), Mr. Usak is also the Secretary general of Intercultural Dialogue Platform, based in Istanbul. He is also a member of the broadcasting board of MORAL FM, which is a conservative radio station widely followed among Turks both in Turkey and in Europe.
